Communicating in new ways
Category: Perspectives on the Journey
Long word memos and PowerPoint slide decks feel so tired. They exhale a dreaded corporate smell.
Could you engage colleagues in fresher, more authentic ways? What forms would that take? And beyond the format, how can the tone be different (spoiler alert: can you speak from the heart and the guts as well as the head?)
In this video, I'll also touch upon an interesting phenomenon I witnessed (interesting but unsurprising, come to think of it). Before they started on this journey, most organizations were communicating almost exclusively on-way. Now suddenly, two-way communications become central. In practice, how does that look like?
My hope is for the comments below the video to surface our collective wisdom on the topic. This could enrich the videos tremendously.
Have you experienced something similar in your own journey? What did you do about it? If you have something meaty to share, please add a link to an article, a video ... Feel free to agree or disagree with what I say, but always: please keep it on topic, relevant, practical. And of course, let's keep things respectful and kind. Please don't comment if what you say is off-topic or wouldn't benefit viewers of this page.
