"CEOs" are paradoxically much less and much more important in self-managing organizations. So how do you deal with a "CEO" succession?
Hint for the first step: if you haven't done it yet, stop talking about the "CEO" and name the various roles this person holds and that need to find successors. Once you do that, you might be surprised that things fall in place quite naturally.
